Position: Accounting Application Support Intern, Paid Part-Time
Flexi Software, a 30+ year old enterprise software company, is looking for an intern in our enterprise application support department. Flexi is a software development company that provides commercial enterprise accounting applications for cloud and on-premise deployments.
Flexi will provide sponsorship.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Log problems and questions received from accounting users as incidents into the CRM system.
- Administer the support email inbox, which includes adding attachments and supporting information received from users to their corresponding incident into the CRM system.
- Administer the generic support voice mail to add or update incidents.
- Research the knowledge base to look up answers and solutions related to previously reported questions/problems.
- Work with application users, accountants and IT personnel, to answer basic level questions related to the accounting software.
- Follow through functionality in the Flexi accounting modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable & Receivable to replicate issues reported by customers.
- Follow internal procedures to service various customer requests.
- Follow direction provided by seniors and managers.
- Interact with clients in a professional, courteous and timely manner ensuring complete client satisfaction.
- Escalate items in case of emergencies.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Student currently enrolled in an accredited college with an Accounting major with advanced computer skills or Computer Science major with understanding of accounting principles (Junior or Senior year or Master’s program).
- Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week between 8:30am-5:30pm (work schedule set to accommodate class schedule).
- Interest and/or background in Accounting Software Applications, using Microsoft Excel or Access, advanced accounting topics.
- Team player, self-starter, multi-tasker, detail oriented with strong organizational skills and professional demeanor.
- Any related certification a plus.
